Hi guys. New on here hope everyone is well. I'm waiting delivery on a 2012 speed triple r in white. I've bought this from a dealer along way from home so haven't even riden/looked at it yet. Hoping you guys can ease my nerves and tell me I've gone for the right bike. (If I don't like riding it I still love looking at it馃槀). My other ride is a zx6r but hoping this bike is max smiles per miles. Anyway just thought I'd say hi from sunny Swansea馃憤

Well aren't you a delight! I took a punt, what's life with out a little risk, wanted to test ride one but can't find on close to me, unable to get to the one I've bought so having it delivered as it was a good price. But thanks for your grumble tho 馃

Don't pay no attention to Doug. He stole my name, sucked my d卯ck, never called me the next day, and still kisses his mama with those lips.

She tells me he uses full tongue action too.

No Weld' you have made a very poor choice. That poor zx6 is never going see the light of day, paranoid people will think you're laughing at them and your face will ache because of the stupid grin you will have on your face. No other bike will quite hit the mark ever again. There is all the money you will fork out on stuff to personalise your bike, then there's all those hours you will spend looking out the window waiting for the shitty Swansea weather to end so you can get your speedy out for a play on the twisties. I think this may have been the advise Doug was trying to get across but couldn't articulate it very well with crash's gentleman's relish still in his mouth.

Not sure which Swansea your from (there are about 11 places in the world called Swansea), but if it's the one about 20 miles from Pembrey; there is a track day in June, (according to their website). I found with my S3 once I had the suspension set up for me, it was a totally different bike. If you go to a track day, there is usually someone there who can help set up your suspension, unless there is someone you know. Having the suspension set up for you, even if it cost a hundred quid (which it shouldn't be that much) it is well worth it. Learning how your bike feels on a track day is heaps of fun, especially if you have some mates to go with.

PVM wheels were part of the "R" package on the 2012 & 2013 models, they were dropped for the 2014. If yours doesn't have the PVMs I would inquire as to why...maybe it's not a true R with Ohlins front & rear, seat cowl, fly screen and belly pan...

from the picture it looks to be the standard double split spoke unlike the real pvm wheel which has a 5 star curved single spoke ... I would be disappointed not to get the PVM wheels if i was paying top dollar for a 12 or 13 R... however if it was a killer deal and I emphasize KILLER deal I would not be too concerned. But I would like the seller to disclose the reasoning as to why the change up? ???
