Can the Recent column posts List what section they are in so someone does not click on the topic and end up in NWS by accident?

Instead of using the Recent column.
Try using the Show Unread link under your avatar on the left. It will show the threads in order of most recent, and the forum each link is in.

I modded the "recent" column to not show the NWS forum. It changes how it looks though, not sure if I am happy about it..

I'm not happy either with the look, or rather, the crampness. Can't sort out what's what.

I second Devi's suggestion, unless there's some way to make the side bars bigger. Screen real estate isn't a problem for me with a 23" Cinema display. ;D
