Ouch! Didn't the seller mention that the taxes haven't been paid yet?? :'(
8) I actually knew that the taxes weren't payed ....beleive it or not that's just the way things are when u buy a bike.I Imported it from sweden and they dont have the same tax system as we do in Denmark....even though they are members of the EU ....special law in DK....

Claus
Oh ok. Stop complaining then! We get raped here too, propably even worse ;D
I Dont think i could get raped and then not complaint.... ;) But have it your way....

Claus
Twice as much for the taxes as the used bike?!!!
Holy suffering socialism, Batman!

HOW much are you paying for fuel to run it on?

And I thought Holland was bad.

1.7 $ pr liter....

and no Holland isn't that bad on taxes...

It's all a question of will power....

USD $6.43 a gallon?!!!
That's a LOT of taxes!

Last time I was in Holland the Dutch were paying 70% income tax, I am afraid to ask about DK.

Income taxes ...around 50 %
then there is a "special" tax on everything u buy ....25 % (food and stuff) this rendered Dk the most expensive country in EU in a survey published last week
and if any of us poor SUCKERS buy a bike the taxes is 215 % for the registration...
180 % on cars (approx.)

and to be damn sure no one gets out of line... they release angry polarbears in the streets....and take our firearms away...

Bring it on !!

edit for quote.
We're not far off DK. Here you pay registration about 46% of what THEY think the bike costs, then you get raped again by another 18% VAT on the cost of the bike AND the registration.............
Avi8or - You pay taxes on taxes?

We in the US are definitely spoiled.

says you... I live it the most expensive state in the US... I am gettin KILLED on taxes up here...

for some reason my vehicles that get older every year somehow seem to get higher taxed every year.. never mind the mill rate hike of 48% this year...

:'( Same here ....what they think the bike costs...not what you payed for it...

(santa) Claus
Clause and Avi8or,

On what do they base the value of the bike?

If the bike has been wrecked, do they devalue it?
here in NC they do the same thang Devi, they based my bike on a value not what I actually payed fer it!  But sounds like you fellers across the pond git eat up with taxes, but don't git us 'mericans started on health care costs, I pay almost as much a month fer a family of 4 as I do my freak'n house payment! :'(
