Recently I was in New York for the international motorcycle show and ran into a US Zard importer. They had a nice display and even had the S3 Stainless full system on display. Great build quality. He told me it will release a few more horses at different ranges, was available for the 02-04, 05-06 and could be purchased for $899. full system only. we all know an aftermarket pipe will help the HP, but after that I think its a personal choice.. a "style choice". so,

My question is Do you like the look? Vote....

Wait a minute... You can get em for under 1k? Last I heard they were over 1k for the full system. I'm still waiting to see what Powermax comes up with for their undertail redesign, but the Zard looks good on the 05+. I'd have to see pics of it on the previous tail before making a choice like that.
ya they were $850 US at the show in NY.. he did mention that they would "modify" the price as the season came on.
I would like to but they are supposed to be about $1,600 now with the Power Commander-Too much money!!!
It is not a good deal and the HP claims are unsubstantiated (a few conflicted dyno runs that I have seen).
Would love to go with the ZARD but I do not believe they are ready to support the average rider. Last report I saw they did not even ship any instructions of any kind with the pipe! All that for the pipe alone at $1,200??No thanks. Greed killed more than one good product.
Get it right (price and product) and they will sell a lot of them. I wish them luck.
agreed...

know your customer.. provide them the right product at the right price and youll sell....
I think the $1200 price was for the full system, headers all the way back. If so, $1200 is a steal for a full titanium system.
Got quoted 1200 euros for a stainless......twice that for a full titanium.

The design is growing on me... I just wish I didn't have to carry a passenger often. The bike looks strange with the passenger pegs still installed.

The Zard systems also look a lot better with the rear shaved and this kit installed:

Zard now hows a slip on only, for 449 Euros. Supposodly on some other site someone bought one, and should have pictures soon, so we will see how good it looks. I tried finding out about US stuff but now luck yet. If we can get it here in the US for $499 then that would be a deal, considering how much exhausts for the S3 costs.

$1200 is a lot. I don't think a lot of you are like me I care more about looks cause hell I only spend <1% of the time using all the ponies anyhow...
I think it's beautifull. I think the weight savings alone are worth the money (all up high too.) My Zard fund is slowly but surely rising.

Do you know how much weight you would save? Also, how much dose the stock unit weight, is it heavy?
G
Your stock exhaust is approximately 15 pounds, most good aftermarket exhausts are coming in around 8 pounds. I have no idea what the Zard weights, but I would guess less than 8.

Eh... I know it's sweet and all, but honestly I just don't care for the look.

I saw a 2005 with the Arrows, and I liked them. I guess I just prefer the underseat look on the S3.
Seeing the photos, I've never liked them. But I saw one up close & personal tonight, and it looks MUCH nicer than I thought. Actually, it looks very good. Made me want one, but oops, I JUST ordered the Eagle Mach 7 this afternoon (about 2 hours before I saw the Zard). Meh, what're ya gonna do?

IMO I like duel carbon aftermarket ( Wolf/Trident) still. The Zard looks interesting but I
think it leaves the back of an S3 looking a little odd.

( p.s.----we need Peter on this forum)

I got the Zard on the bathroom scales. 4kgs it said.
I put my Zard w/PC on a couple days ago. You would not believe the extra power this pipe makes. The ZARD setup will destroy the TOR mufflers and Tor map. I'm NOT exagerating.

Triumph offers 3 Zard maps. I tried them all today. The map that came with the pipes is the best (most power).

I would definatly do the Zard again and I highly recommend to all.

I think it is one of the ugliest things you can do to a Triple.  They may make more power, but to me it isn't worth it.  If I would have wanted a bike with more power I wuld have purchased something more in the lines of a ZX-14,ZX-10,GSXR1000, or even the ugly busa(no offense Mad I just don't like those either)
