I have a 2000 speed triple, and the tach isn't working. I've hooked an obd reader and verifyed that I'm getting rpm readout, so I know that's working.... I pulled the cluster apart and took mesurments, the 3 wires at the back were red, black, and green/red. With the bike turned on but not running, I had about 10v across red and black, and the same betwen green/red and black. With the bike running, green/red to black stayed right aounrd 10v, but red to black dropped to about 3v. So trying to troubleshoot this.... is that normal behavior for the tach? Do I have an actual bad tach? Or is this an electrical problem? Thanks for help!

I had to replace the tach on my 2000 many years ago, the needle would bounce around. Start looking for a good used one.
