Just got my Tuneboy, exhaust, etc. and I want to get rid of the popping on decel. Question is if I download a "non-SAI" tune will it just bypass the SAI or do I still need to plug it at the airbox, disconnect wiring harness or what? Really don't want to take it completely off and make/buy block of plates, would also like to keep it on the bike so I could put it back to stock for sale/trade of desired.

You'd have to block the SAI somehow. The tune only tells the computer that it's not there, otherwise you'd get a check engine light. You don't have to have the plates to block the SAI, you could just obstruct the SAI somehow. Someone told me about putting marbles in it, which I wasn't comfortable with. But blocking it somehow is all that needs to be done. maybe tape it off or fill the main tube with some silicone sealant (high heat to prevent it melting and leking into the exhaust. Your best bet is to get some block off plates. KuhlKA should have some ready if you get on the list.

Thanks guys that's was I was thinking. Disconnect wiring and plug/cap SAI intake somehow. Just trying to come up with the easiest solution. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it works.

I had the same problem, the tune must tell the ecu its not there. But in case it was there and the result was serious back fires. No warning lights though.
