Yep. It's a 3 position sliding switch. 1. Lights off 2. Parking lights (like the ignition switch). 3. Lights on. My flash-to-pass switch was acting up and the whole housing was replaced under warranty. It's nice to switch it down to position 2 when sitting at long lights and the fan kicks in to save some battery juice. Also sweet when messing with the Tuneboy.

Very nice to have a switch to turn off the lights. I had to install a switch to turn off both lights on my 2005 - tuning with Tuneboy killed the battery in little time. And I got tired of pulling relays and fuses each time I was tuning.

Here's a blurry pic (I just wanted try posting a pic). It just plugs into the harness (there's already an empty plug in the harness for it)).

Xrod - Are you in the UK or some other civilized country where it is legal to control one's own headlight or did Triumph send the wrong part by mistake?

I got one from http://www.triumph-ant.co.uk/  for shutting the lights off when working with Tuneboy, warmup, etc. It was 60 bucks shipped, and plugs straight in. :drink:
I called up triumph-ant and spoke to the guy there.  He said he's all sold out of them.  They stopped putting them on UK bikes in 2000 so there is also high demand for them in the UK as well as in the US.

I ended up finding a used one on ebay.co.uk and it cost me about $55 shipped to the US.

Catamount, don't freak out when you install it and your clutch won't pull in! You gotta grind off the pin that goes in the hole in the bar so the lever will clear. It took me a minute to figure that one out...
