Hello! I’ve discovered that you can add a sunline shift lever 25-01-040 or 048 to the speed triple. My year is 2007. The part is meant for a Yamaha YZ85 2006 and newer and is no longer made/impossible to find.

Has anyone ever done this mod and would any lever meant for that Yamaha work?

I used a Tusk on my current Speed which seemed about like the Sunline on my old one. I'm now running a setup I feel is a best of both worlds between a direct shifter and the shorter throw of a linkage. For me at least, every little bit helps when it comes to getting across some of the wide spacing between the gears which is more than other bikes I've ridden. Total cost was about 90 bucks which consisted of two high quality helm joints ($60) and a new rod ($30). Well worth it!

I'm using the Sunline and love it. Think I've missed about 2 shifts in 10 years since I put it on. I previously had a MSR 34-2148 but it's a little longer and didn't work as well for me.

I don’t think your photos loaded up, but I will have to try this. I can’t find a sunline at all. 2 option would is gonna be that upgrades S system.

I tried to find one of those before I went aftermarket and the price then was absurd. If anyone finds a reasonable source let us know.
