How many of you would be interested in a get together in the US?

Where and when?

I live in Birmingham, AL and would suggest a gathering here at Barber MotorSpeedway next spring. Great faciltiy/track and fantastic cycle museum. I can arrange a BBQ and possibly rent a mobile dyno for the day. I may even be able to talk local Steve Johnson (NHRA Champion) into displaying his drag bike, and a few vendors into showing up. Maybe even include a ride/poker run with prizes.

Other locations and times would be great as well.

Just an idea, perhaps a bad one.

I'd go but I'm doing the sept 27th track training and am now taking care of foster kids so my free time is basically NIL until I move to Dallas for grad school. Even then I'll be seriously limited on cash, but at least I won't be working 16 hour days watching kiddies.

I will check into a few things and see what is involved in putting this together with a Rat RAID. If there is enough interest, it might just happen.

What would you like to see at an event like this?
What vendors?

ANY input is appreciated.

We DON'T need to take up a collection to give to CB to get there.
His wife ( and cousin ) told Limey who told me, that SHE WILL get the money to get CB out of town.

Ok, I'll put in for being there. I'd need a while to ride the S3 up there, but went to Barber for the first time in July, and it's a fantastic place. A Triumph gathering would be a blast. Plus my s.o. is commuting from here to Atlanta now, or I am on weekends, so would be a lot closer.
Count me in. Keep us posted.
Cheers

Bloody hell, I DROVE to Atlanta yesterday, in our Volvo S60, and thought, after about five hours on the road, 'there is no freakin' way I could handle this on my bike'! Perhaps if the roads were interesting, and not slab the whole way. But up 75? Ferrrkkkk, no!
I hate to be the sort of bloke who has to put his bike on a trailer to go anywhere, but that may be the major drawback of living here in S FL.
Bugger!
Cheers
