hAD TO PUT MY FIRST set of light on speedy...went on line and bought a set of H4's for 21 bucks. Hey this light is BLUE! and it say's twice as bright as stock and 48000 kelvin......Ok realy guys did I get jipped? have not tried them out at night but hey there BLUE! I want my (OK CHEAP I SAID IT).....YELLOW TINGED LIGHTSW BACK.sean :violent1:

For the purposes of the conversation, its's a rating on the color of the light output. Lower Kelvin numbers are at the yellow end of the light spectrum and higher Kelvin numbers are at the blue/violet end of the light spectrum.

Kelvin is a temperature scale, it is used to determine color temperature.

is that what the lights really burn at???

i do know that if it were....that would be uber hot

4500 K is generally white light.

4200 K tends to have a slightly yellow-ish cast.
4800 K tends to have a blue cast.

5200 K is purple-ish.

This is not the actual temperature, it is the color of the light in the RGB scale.

Degrees Kelvin is also used for actual temperatures.
